Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to PersonaChat, provided by Venus Cloud Ltd., registered in England and Wales (company number 07563716). By using PersonaChat, you agree to these terms.

Using PersonaChat

You may use the app on compatible devices you own or control, subject to the applicable app store rules. You must meet the age requirements shown in your app store and any requirements under local law.

Do not use PersonaChat for illegal activities, infringe other people's rights, bypass payment or security controls, or disrupt the service. Do not resell or redistribute the app, remove ownership notices, or reverse engineer it except where the law permits.

Your characters and stories

We own PersonaChat's software, branding and our original app content. You retain any rights you hold in the characters, stories and other material you create or bring into the app. Using PersonaChat does not transfer those rights to us.

Imported content remains subject to its owner's rights and any applicable licence. You are responsible for having permission to use it. AI-generated text may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection.

AI responses

PersonaChat is for fictional storytelling and entertainment. AI responses can be inaccurate, repetitive or unexpected. They are not professional advice, and we cannot guarantee a particular response or storyline.

Your conversation history is stored on your device. Export important content using the app's available tools before deleting the app or changing devices. Our privacy policy explains how data is handled.

Free use and Premium

Free use includes ads. An optional Premium subscription removes ads and provides the features described on the purchase screen. The price, billing period and any trial terms are shown before you subscribe.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your app store account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. For Apple purchases, manage your subscription in Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to be charged.

Refund requests for Apple purchases can be made through Apple's refund service. Eligibility depends on the store's rules and applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes your legal cancellation or refund rights.

Bring your own key and third-party services

Connecting your own OpenRouter API key is optional. Usage through your key is billed separately by OpenRouter and is not included in your PersonaChat subscription. Keep your key secure and check your OpenRouter balance and usage.

Third-party services, imported content and external links have their own terms. Their availability and features may change. These terms do not remove our responsibility for the service we provide.

Updates and availability

We may release updates to fix problems, improve features or maintain compatibility and security. Automatic installation depends on your device and app store settings. Occasional maintenance, outages or provider interruptions may affect access.

If we discontinue or materially reduce a paid service during a period you have already paid for, we will provide any remedy required by law, which may include a refund for the affected period.

Misuse and suspension

We may restrict access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the issue and allow an opportunity to resolve it. Immediate restrictions may be necessary to stop fraud, security threats or unlawful activity. You can contact us if you believe a restriction was a mistake.

Our responsibility to you

We will provide PersonaChat with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any responsibility that cannot legally be limited. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also retain the mandatory protections of the law where you live and any right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes to PersonaChat, legal requirements or security needs. We will publish the revised terms here with an updated date. Changes will not apply retrospectively. Where a change affects your existing paid rights, we will provide the notice, consent options or remedies required by law.
