What's the difference between a Persona and a Character?
A Persona is your unique avatar that represents you in conversations. Characters are the AI personalities you chat with—each with their own distinct traits, backstories, and conversation styles.
Does the AI remember long conversations?
Yes. A dedicated summarizer model keeps a running recap of your story in the background, so characters recall what happened many chapters ago without interrupting your chat. Uniquely, you can review and edit what the AI remembers—turn on the review step in Settings to read or change each summary before it's applied.
Does PersonaChat have group chats?
Yes. Group Chat mode lets you lead adventures with multiple AI characters at once. Smart routing picks who responds based on context, characters interact with each other as well as with you, and replies stream in live. The included Iron Wake Crew scenario is a ready-made sci-fi survival story to try it with.
Can I choose which AI model I chat with?

PersonaChat includes five individually tuned models—DeepSeek V4 Flash, Qwen 3.5 Flash, GLM 4.7 Flash, MiMo V2.5, and Mistral NeMo—each with a plain-language description so you can pick by what you want to do. Yes. Set any image as a chat wallpaper, with sliders for transparency and blur, either as a default for every chat or per character. Every built-in character ships with a wallpaper that fits their story, and a cinematic reading mode keeps text legible over any background. The app itself offers five colour themes—Classic, Vibrant, Ocean, Forest, and Sunset—each with a matching home-screen icon.
What are the benefits of a premium subscription?
Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience with no interruptions or daily limits, unlimited conversations, and full narrative control: edit and delete messages, regenerate AI responses with different temperatures, and edit AI messages to reshape the story. Is my data safe and private?
Absolutely. Your conversations are stored locally on your device, we keep zero chat logs, and we never access your personal chat content. Your created and imported characters stay private on your device. We use SSL encryption, certificate pinning, and encrypted API keys to protect data in transit.
Can I import characters from other platforms?
Yes. PersonaChat supports importing characters from venus.chub.ai. Use the import feature in the Workshop to bring your favourite characters into the app and start chatting right away. Imported characters stay private on your device.
Can I use PersonaChat on Android or web?
Currently, PersonaChat is only available for iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). We're considering expansion to other platforms in the future.
Does PersonaChat support accessibility features?
Yes! We offer a dyslexia-friendly font option that significantly improves readability. Simply enable it in your app settings for a more comfortable reading experience during conversations.
